Weekly (June1st-7th) Spin/Race Schedule
Tuesday: Club training spin leaving from Moynans at 6.30pm. Route as usual is decided upon on the evening. The avg speed on the evening is usually between 28/30kph. Also some of our racing members will be heading out to Gooig to compete in the Limerick CC Summer League.
Thursday: We have TT no.3 in the JJ Moynan TT series. We are using our usual route starting at the Roundhill pub, on to the Fivealley roundabout and finishing at the yellow bridge a total distance of 16km. You can sign on at 6.15pm at Moynans bike shop or at the start line. Group departs to the start at 6.30pm and TT starts at 7pm sharp. Entry is €5
Sunday: Our usual club morning spin, leaving from Moynans, caters for all abilities, Leisure, intermediate and senior levels. As many members are preparing for specific sportives, we decided that it might be a good idea to introduce a longer spin on Sunday 7th. With the An Post Tour De Burren just two weeks away and the Ring of Kerry a further two weeks after that (For those lucky enough to get in 🙂 ) so now it’s a good time to push the distances. With this in mind this Sunday’s spin is around the lake but in the opposite direction to the club tour anticlockwise but still a 120km spin. There will be a coffee stop in Mountshannon but unfortunately on this occasion we will have to provide our own refreshments. A shorter route option will be to travel with the main group to Portumna where you take a right turn at the Ferry Inn heading towards Birr on to Walsh Park and return to Nenagh via Borrisokane. Both routes equally testing. The Leisure/Intermediate groups will start at the earlier time of 8am in an effort to have everyone come together for the coffee stop in Mountshannon. The seniors will start at 9am as usual. We hope to see you out on the morning.
