Weekend spins

The usual spins will take place this weekend starting with the race training spin that will leave from Woodies car park at 9am on Saturday 24th of January. The route will be decided on the morning. It is very important to make these training spins now as the race season is just upon us. All that hard work and training will pay off…

forecast

On Sunday 25th of January we will have the normal spin that will leave from Moynans Bike shop at 9am. This week we are staying with the route we had planned for last weekend but due to the icy roads had to alter on the morning. Route: Nenagh – Dolla – Old N7 – Birdhill – Montpelier – Daly’s Cross – Coffee Stop @ Applegreen Birdhill – Back to Nenagh (67km) for the Leisure / Intermediate group (Strava link to route) and the seniors may add another loop at the end. Everyone will stay together until Dolla where the group splits will take place. Sun spinEveryone is very welcome to join us on the morning so give it a try. This spin has increased in popularity over the last few months so the more that join us on the morning the better.

We are starting a club Turbo training session that will be run over a course of six weeks and will run on Friday evenings. The first class starts on the 30th of January at 7pm at Busters Bootcamp spinning class which is situated over Moynans Bike shop in Kenyon street car park.club turbo The cost for the six weeks is 50 euro pp and is well worth it. It is a structured spinning class and it will be a good opportunity to get in some extra winter training. If you think you might be interested in joining this turbo session and if you want  more information on it please contact our club chairperson Pat Bergin on 087 6744400.

We will hold the second of the North Tipp Wheelers Club Membership Nights in Moynans Bike Shop, Nenagh on Monday 26th of January from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. We will be helping existing and new members to register with Cycling Ireland and Membership of our Club. Liam Callahan (NTW Road Captain) will do a Demo on his Tacx Turbo Trainer with Video Training routes. Following on from last Monday’s virtual hill climb challenge we’re going to have a second turbo trainer there for a head to head to make things a little bit more interesting… There may even be a little prize at the end. 🙂 We will also have a slide show of pictures and videos taken on club road and mountain biking spins during the last few months. Eugene Lynch from Giant bikes will also be there on the night.355px-Giant_logo.svg

Do your best to make it on the evening and get to know what our club is all about. Everybody is welcome. See ye there.
