Weekend spins

The usual spins will take place this weekend starting on Saturday 17th January with the race training spin leaving from Woodies car park at 9am. The route is decided on the morning. If you intend to race with the club or do open racing it is very important now to up your training and make these spins as the season is only around the corner…

Forecast:

On Sunday 18th we will be departing from Moynans at 9am with the route being Nenagh – Dolla – Old N7 – Birdhill – Montpelier – Daly’s Cross – Coffee Stop @ Applegreen Birdhill – Back to Nenagh (67km) for the Leisure / Intermediate group (Strava link to route) and the seniors may add another loop at the end. Everyone is welcome and all will stay together until Dolla where the group splits will take place.

Also a reminder that we will hold two Club Membership Nights over the coming weeks with the first being held in Moynans Bike Shop next Monday 19th of Jan from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. We will be helping existing and new members to register with Cycling Ireland and membership of our Club.
Liam Callahan (NTW Road Captain) will do a demo in the shop on his Tacx Turbo Trainer with some Video Training Routes to show what you can accomplish indoors when the weather prevents you from getting outside.
We will have a slide show of pictures and videos taken on club road and mountain biking training spins during the last few months.
Along with all this we will have the pleasure of the company of Richie Greene of Focus Bikes Ireland who will have a display model of the latest high spec road and mountain bikes for you to feast your eyes on. He will give a talk about these great bikes and answer any questions on Road or Mountain Biking. As Richie is a keen Mountain Biker himself, it will be a good opportunity to get some advice on the subject.
We will be having another Membership Night on Mon 26th of Jan with Eugene Lynch from Giant bikes there on the night to accommodate anyone who can’t make the first one.
