A fantastic turn-out for the ‘All Together Spin’ on Sunday last which saw a group of 30 riders of varying abilities cycle the return route from Nenagh to Ballina in relaxed and enjoyable spirit. The rain held off adding to the pleasantries and members from all club groups (as well as some welcomed new faces) got to catch up and discuss the summer and season just passed. The coffee and scones at the Lakeside Hotel were a welcomed assistance prior to the return journey where some conversations turned to next years plans and cycling ambitions. Many thanks to the Lakeside hotel Ballina for their assistance.
Club training spins continue throughout the autumn but with variations. The Tuesday night club ride from Moynans has now stopped for the winter and is replaced with a ‘night-spin’ that departs from the Fivealley carpark at 7.15pm sharp. All riders must have front and rear lights, have high visibility clothing and be confident of night cycling. This is a high tempo training spin. Saturday morning rides for the race training, intermediate and leisure group (9am from Stereame Car Park) and Sunday morning for leisure, intermediate and senior groups (9am from Moynans). All levels are catered for so feel free to come along if you are new to cycling. For further details of any club events or club membership please contact club chairperson Pat Bergin 0876744400.
