Visit Nenagh Classic
With 7 A4s and 3 A3s racing, the Wheelers were out in force again to assist and to cheer their club mates on. A big well done to Ross O’Meara and Ruairi Cunningham on taking part in their first open race. The first of many no doubt. There were mixed fortunes. In the A3s, Tommy Hanrahan, who had been lying in the top 5 for most of the race, was brought down by a race vehicle and lost any chance of a place although he went on to finish while Liam Callaghan also passed the finish line. In the A4s, Julie White and Sinnead Oakes both finished the race as did Brian O’Neill and Eoin Woolley but the star of the Wheelers today was Dan Hogan who took 3rd place in his first ever race – he hadn’t even done a club race before but decided to give it a go! So very well done to him and to all those who rode, assisted in cars and marshalling and helped with the Family Fun Cycle. A great day for the Wheelers!
