Training Day for Club & Open Racing Members
The club has organised the follow-up training day for club and open racing members with Martin O’Loughlin from Carrick Wheelers on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014. As per the first training day, the start, lunch and talk venue is The Thatch Cottage, Ballycommon.
Unlike the first training day which focused on winter training, this second training day is intended to focus on race training and therefore will be of particular interest to members partaking in club and open racing.
Martin is a former Irish International racer who has won multiple All-Ireland titles on the road and time trial. He has managed Olympic Teams in Athens (road and mtb) and London (road and track), 3 World Championships, 2 European Championships and 2 Youth Olympics. He currently works part-time as the Youth Development Coach for Cycling Ireland and direct the FBD Ireland Talent Team 2020.
We require a minimum of 15 participants with a strict maximum of 25. Price for the day will be no more than €26 per person which includes group coaching on the road in the morning, soup & sambos for lunch and a talk in the afternoon including handouts. To reserve your place, we require booking and payment by Sunday 19th January. To register your interest, please respond to the club text that will be sent to all members. Payment can be made to either Pat or Liam.
