Thursday evening racing April 9th
This Thursday 9th of April we have the official start to the race season where points are now up for grabs. We have the first TT (Time Trial) in the JJ Moynan TT series. The route is the same as last year and starts from the Roundhill pub, heads to the Fivealley roundabout and turns back with the finish at the Yellowbridge, a total distance of 16km.
Sign on is at Moynans at 6.15pm and departs at 6.30pm where we will warm up heading to the start line. The entry fee is €5. If you are stuck for time, you can head straight to the Roundhill and sign on there.
We do stress the importance of supporting the club races. If you are a part of a club and you want to race, you should be out with your own club at these races. They are great craic and the more members we have at them the better they will be.
We hope to see good numbers out for the first TT of the season and anyone who holds a limited competition or open race licence is very welcome to compete. If anybody in the club with a leisure licence is thinking of racing this year but not sure what’s involved or what it’s all about, come out and give the course a go, it’s only 16km and we can let you off on the course before the race begins. Don’t be worried just come out and see what it’s all about, you’ll be very welcome. If you like what you see, you can then sort out a licence upgrade and take part in the future.
See you all there!! 🙂
