Julie White heading for a great win in The Lookout Trophy

Julie White heading for a great win in The Lookout Trophy

Well, the best you could say about the weather on Thursday evening was that it stayed dry for us! Apart from that there was a strong blustery wind and it was cold. In spite of all that, there was another large sign-on and the riders headed for Ballina for The Lookout Trophy. The route was the far end of Ballina to Portroe School, a distance of just 6.8 miles but a hard and testing ride. The fastest time on the night went to the flying trio of Tommy Hanrahan, Pat Bergin and Liam Callaghan. Ross O’Meara, a junior rider in his first club race rode very strongly to finish in fourth place while Eoin Woolley just edged out Benny Delaney to claim second but it was the flying Julie White who claimed the trophy for herself.
