RESULT OF THE J.MOYNAN TT No.5

Amazingly enough, we had a second dry, sunny evening for our Thursday evening racing and this week it was TT 5 in the J.Moynan TT Series. The course has been used before and is a hard one – Moneygall to the first Roscrea roundabout and back – a distance of 15 miles. On this occasion, however, there was a very strong head wind on the return journey which lowered some riders times and certainly drained them! In the race for fastest time, there was absolutely no beating Shane Scully who was 57 seconds ahead of Hugh Flannery who was making his debut in the club’s TTs. Third place went to an ever-improving Tommy Hanrahan. The race winners however saw a turn-about situation as two riders in particular rode well inside their time allowance, showing a good improvement. Third place went to Duncan Hodgins; second was taken by John Foote while taking his first win with the Wheelers was Stuart Witts. It was another strong sign-on and well done to all who rode!

Stuart Witts, race winner and Shane Scully, fastest time.
