RESULT OF J. MOYNAN TT5

The penultimate race in the J. Moynan TT Series turned out to be an interesting race to say the least! There was a light drizzle when we left Moynan’s shop and as soon as we arrived at the start point it turned into a deluge for half an hour then the wind picked up. It was just one of those evenings! The route was a 15 mile one – a new one – measured and checked by our route-meister, Vic. The start was just the Nenagh side of the motorway bridge on the old N7, turn left at Birdhill and up the steep incline to the first roundabout. Back to the Birdhill roundabout and finish at Ballywilliam Creamery. The sign-on was reasonable in size and the fastest man on the night and the winner of the race was Liam Callaghan, who completed the course in 37.35. Second fastest was Pat Bergin with Mikey Connors in third. In the race Julie White took second and Pat Bergin third. Very well done to all who rode, to Vic for great photos in horrible conditions and to Mike Sheedy, our invaluable motor bike marshal.
