Thursday

Club racing. Road race no.4

The weeks are absolutely flying by and the race season is now well under way. On Thursday we had road race 4 which was a 45km route along some nice rolling roads. We had a fine turnout of members and some new faces to take on the route. It was a very close run race with three groups out on the road. The first group away worked extremely well to keep the chasing group two at arms length and managed to stay out front for the entire race.  It came down to a sprint with young Luke Donnelly yet again taking the win on the night ahead of his father which is just fantastic!  This young man really is making his mark this year in the races and is proving he’s going from strength to strength even after being upgraded to the faster group only a couple of weeks ago, super going Luke! Congratulations.

Well done to everyone who raced on the night, great going. Thanks to our timekeepers Jan and Conor, thanks to our road Marshals John and Selina and thanks to Tracey and Vic for the great photos of the night which you can see in the link here.

 

 

Weekend spins

Well done to everyone who took part in the C4SC cycle for sick children awarness tour on Sunday last. Thanks for supporting their tour which was in aid of a great cause.  Here are a few pictures we got online but if we find anymore we will post them up here…

Munster TT Championships 2018

Tuesday : club training spin leaving from Moynans bike shop Nenagh at 6:30pm. Please note the time change to 6:30pm to give more people the chance to get to the start after work now that the evenings will allow.

Thursday: Club Racing: Road race 5, sign on is at Moynans bike shop Nenagh at 6.15pm or at the race start and group leaves Moynans for the race start point at 6.30pm. Race starts at 7pm sharp. Entry fee €5 . Start is just after last motorway bridge before Toomevara.  Route: Lower Clashnevin – Toomevara – Moneygall – Dunkerrin – Roscrea roundabout – Dunkerrin – Moneygall – Toomevara – Finish where the race started. 50km.
