Club Updates

Happy Christmas and happy new year from all the North Tipperary Wheelers. We had a busy time over the holidays with plenty of spins taking place.
Firstly congrats to Pat and Dan for completing their #festive500. A number of our members joined them along their way and were spoiled with the good weather from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve.
On New Year’s Day we had a good number of cyclists celebrating the beginning of 2020 with a 95km spin. ‘Start as you mean to go on’ was the motto!
We had a number of members trying out mountain biking over the holidays too. It’s one for those who don’t mind getting knee deep in mud – literally! (See photos!!)
Our Sunday spins resumed this week with members gradually easing back into it with a coffee stop in LoughMore half way! 4 of our members trialed the new demo giant bikes from Moynan’s Bike Shop and they really made an impression on the road!

We also want to wish the cyclists who are heading to Spain the very best of luck – you’ll all need it with the gang going!!

Turbo also resumed this week and will be on from 7pm every Tuesday and Thursday in Ballycommon.

NB – Cycling Ireland have synchronised their renewal date for Licenses to the start of the year, so all memberships are due for Renewal from the 1st Jan. It is imperative that you renew this, if not done already, as soon as possible, as you are not covered by insurance for Club Spins.

This can be renewed on the Cycling Ireland website, or if you prefer the club can arrange this for you. Please Contact Jan or Peter Moynan.
