RACING RESULTS
With our road races for the year finished, there were just two more competitive events remaining until the season ends. The first of these, the final 16km TT (TT #4) in the J Moynan TT Series 2019 was held last Thusday evening over our usual course. On a very windy evening the riders were aided by a strong tail wind from The Roundhill pub to the Five Alley roundabout but had to face into the same wind on the way back, albeit over a shorter distance. All the hard spins over the Summer would seem to have paid off however as several of the
participants set new personal bests. Well done all! The times are listed below, and the results file and competition standings will be updated asap and published on the website. Well done to all those who participated on the night.

J Moynan TT Series 2019, TT #4 results as follows:

Tipperary Time Trial Championships
Four club members took part in the Tipperary Time Trial Championships hosted by Upperchurch Drombane CC in Littleton last Saturday. Over a slightly flatter 16km route than our own course, we had another great result for the club at these championships. Four entrants and four medals! It’s a great TT route – an out and back that for the second year in a row had a very strong outward tail wind and homeward head wind combined with the occasional heavy shower.
Medal winners for NTW on the day were:
Eoin Woods: A2 winner and fastest overall time with an incredible time of 20.45.
Andy English: A4 – winner.
Liam Callaghan: A4 – 3rd place.
John Foote: M60 – winner.
It was inspirational to see so many paracyclists taking part in their various competitions also. Well done to UDCC for hosting a well organised event.

Edvins Silovs 5 th at Kilmallock
Congratulations to Edvins who came fifth in the A1/A2 race at Ras Cill Mocheallog 2019 last weekend. It is scarcely believable that with this result Edvins now only requires five more points to gain promotion to A1, after starting the year at A4. Incredible. Well done again Edvins!

LEISURE SPINS
Pictured below (l-r) are Noel Kennedy, Eva Moynan, and Eoin Ryan who did the ring of Kerry at the weekend. Well, Eva towed the two lads  around by all accounts!

Club racing:
Club racing continues on Thursday 22nd August when we will hold the last competitive event of the year – the Club Championship Time Trial. There will be a new start/finish location, and this TT will be reduced to 22km from our normal 30km for the CCTT. The start will be at the crossroads just after Ashlawn Nursing Home on the old N7, and the course will be from here to the Birdhill roundabout and back. This is a re-run of the event which was cancelled earlier in the year, so anyone who paid an entry fee for that race will not have to pay again. Normal race fee is €5.
Sign-on is at the race start from 6.30pm onwards. First rider off at 7pm sharp.
ROUTE (see map below):

Club caps
There are a small number (approx. 11 left) of club caps, or “casquettes” available to purchase. These are a great bit of kit for keeping bugs out of your hair (if you are lucky enough to have it!) but also great for absorbing sweat and helping to keep it out of your eyes. Plus, let’s face it you look cooler with a casquette. They have the regular club logos but are not the 30 th anniversary versions. The price is €15 each, contact Jan to get yours – they are selling fast.

The week ahead:
Tuesday 20/08: Club spin leaving Moynan’s at 6.30pm
Thursday 22/08: Club Championship TT (details above)
Saturday 24/08: Training spin leaving from Woodies car park, Nenagh at 9am. (check first)
