Road Race #3 in the Spring Series was held last Thursday night. The route was: The Roundhill
Pub to the Five Alley roundabout, back to the second left turn off for Silvermines, and finish
outside the community hall in Silvermines. Well done all for participating. Results on the night were
as follows:

Andy English
Nanno Vuyk
John O’Carroll
Gary Rowan
Rob Dalton
Ian Kennedy
Group 3:
Cathal Hanrahan

Going into RR4 this week it is neck and neck between Nanno Vuyk and Andy English in Group 2
(both on 26 points), all to play for in Group 3 with just two points separating Cathal Hanrahan,
Brendan Hayden and Mike Gleeson. This week’s race should be a cracker!
The next and final race in the Spring Series will be RR4 which will be held this coming Thursday
23 rd May. This race will double as the lookout trophy race for 2019 and we would like to see a good
turn-out of club members to compete for one of the main trophies in the club race calendar. The
route is as follows: Start at Portroe roundabout (off Nenagh bypass), Newtown, Portroe, finish on
the top of the hill just as you enter Ballina village.
Sign-on will be at the Portroe roundabout at 6.30, with the start time at 6.45pm sharp. Please be
on time.
We encourage all club members to come out and participate/support the club racing.
NOTE: Change to sign-on for 2019 Please note, sign on for club racing is to be at the race start line and will no longer be available at Moynan's bike shop before ANY club race this year.
Club members participating in sportives
Joe Donovan, Stephen Hogan and Andy English participated in the Cycle 4 Sick Children (C4SC)
annual tour on Sunday 19 th May. A really well organised and very enjoyable spin was had by all.
Thanks to C4SC for the contribution they make towards improving the lives of sick children.
