Club Updates
Club Tour 2019
As if anyone needs reminding at this stage the annual club tour will be held this coming
Sunday 12 th May! Sign on will begin at 8am from the Lakeside Hotel in Ballina. We are looking for
a big turnout of club members on the day to either cycle the event or to help out with the running of
the event. If you are not participating and have not already grabbed yourself a job, please contact
Jan or Noel or any member of the committee. All help is much appreciated and will help to make
the event a great success as it has been in previous years.
We look forward to welcoming everyone who participates, especially all guests and non NTW club
members, and we are sure you will have a great day out. Remember showers and refreshments
will be available in The Lakeside after the event.
NOTE: There will be parking restrictions around the hotel, but there is usually a lot of parking
available around the village.
Have fun!
Club racing
Club racing continued last Thursday 02 nd May with the second TT in the JJ Moynan TT Series for
2019. It was a beautiful sunny evening on our usual course, perfect for putting in a good time. We
were missing a few regulars on the night but there was a lot of effort put in by the eight participants
that took part, even one or two personal bests. The results are posted below.
The overall racing results table will be updated this week and posted in the Club Racing section of
the website, so you will be able to see how you are doing as you chase victory in the various
competitions.

Well done Eva!
Big congrats to Eva Moynan who competed in the North Tipp Sprint Triathlon on Saturday morning

Club Spins:
It was great to see a large group of sixteen out on the Orange Group spin on Sunday last. The
group headed over to Dolla and up Dolla Hill and Bollingbrook. Regathering at the top, the group
then descended to the Thurles Road and over to Ballycahill where five of the group headed left
and back for Nenagh. The remaining twelve headed on to Thurles and Templemore before turning
left for Dunkerrin and home. A nice 100km route which was a bit breezy and chilly at times, but
lovely when the sun came out.
The week ahead:
Please remember that the evenings are still not that long, so lights and hi-vis clothing are required
if you are planning on being out near dusk.
Tuesday 07/05: Club spin leaving Moynan’s at 6.30pm (lights and high-vis a must)
Thursday 09/05: Club spin leaving Moynan’s at 6.30pm (lights and high-vis a must)
