Club Notes Weekend of Oct 12th 2014

Perfect autumn weather for the weekend just past with club spins on Saturday and Sunday.  A smaller than usual group on Saturday putting in 65km taking in Portroe,  Ballina, O’Briansbridge and Birdhill.  On Sunday, 26 riders left for Toomevara and onto Cloughjordan where the group split allowing for the direct return to Nenagh or an alternative longer route via Borrisokane.  Great turn out and well done to all riders.

The Club training spins continue for the following week.  The Tuesday night ‘night-spin’ departs from the Fivealley carpark at 7.15pm sharp.  All riders must have front and rear lights, have high visibility clothing and be confident of night cycling. This is a high tempo training spin. Saturday morning rides for the race training, intermediate and leisure group (9am from Stereame Car Park) and Sunday morning for leisure, intermediate and senior groups (9am from Moynans).  All levels are catered for on Sunday morning so feel free to come along if you are new to cycling.  For further details of any club events or club membership please contact club chairperson Pat Bergin 0876744400.

The club wish to pass on their sincere condolences to club member Paul Lenihan and family for their recent loss.
