Club Notes Weekend June 15th 2014
An eventful week for club cycling which saw Julie White (pictured) and Tommy Hanrahan fly the club colours at open and non club race events. Julie White became the Woman’s Munster Time Trial Champion setting a new personal best on the 18km course in Patrickswell Co. Limerick on Saturday. Tommy took joint-first place in the final race of the interservice Time Trial Series but won the overall team competition that also included fellow Wheeler John Caulfield.

On Saturday, 5 members took part in race training taking in a 110km route that brought them again to Sixmilebridge in Co. Clare. On Tuesday last, 9 members set rolled out on the Tuesday night training ride (6pm from Moynans Bike Shop) to take in 70km challenging circuit that included Moneygall, Armyhill, Borrisoleigh, Dolla before the return to Nenagh. Thursday last saw the third instalment of the 16km club time trail which saw Tommy Hanrahan, Liam Callaghan and Pat Bergin take first, second and third club placed positions respectively. Meanwhile, Mikey Connors is firmly routed to the top of the club race league table. Race results available here.
