Aidan

Aidan in preparation for the Enduro Mountain bike race series

A welcomed inclusion of mountain biking news this week with Club member Aidan Kileen taking part in Round 3 of the ‘Gravity Endura Ireland’ mountain bike race series which was held in Ballyhoura Woods Co. Limerick over the weekend past.  The trails have recently had a huge revamp to repair winter storm damage and provide welcome improvements to the trail network. This years event saw changes to previous year’s formats with less climbing while keeping and in some cases adding to the length in the stages which included sections into the wilds of the Limerick Mountains whilst also incorporating some of the new technical sections built to cater for advanced riders seeking a more challenging trail. Ideal conditions for Aidan who would finish strongly midfield of the 200 entrants.   Well done.  A small glimpse of the race  can be viewed here.
