Club Notes / This weeks spins
Hi all, we hope ye have all had a good week, a mixed week of weather but with the fantastic weather this weekend we hope ye have all been able to get out on the bikes.
Tuesday
On Tuesday we had our normal evening spin, the group headed out to Dolla and up Dolla hill and on to Templederry, from there they headed to the Thurles road and the group came back as far as Seanines. The group headed up Seanines on to Toomevara from there they headed in the direction of Ballymackey and then on to lucky bags from where the group took on Ballygibbon hill and they headed from home via the old Birr road, well done to everybody who was out on the evening.
THURSDAY
On Thursday we had our J Moynan TT 4, It was not the nicest evening we have had for racing but that did not deter our members from turning up on the night, We had a reasonably good turn out on the evening the lads and lady had a strong crosswind to deal with all the way around the course which ment times were a little slower than other nights and a couple of riders were held up with cattle crossing the road which affected there times also, but having said that there were still some fine times set on the night. Eoin Woods set the fastest time on the night with another outstanding performance well done, Once handicaps were taking into consideration it was Joesph Donnelly who took the win on the night and also claimed the J Moynan series trophy for 2017, Congrats to Joesph on a very good performance throughout the whole series and very well done on winning the series, Also a very well done to everybody who was out on the night. Thanks also to Jan for doing the timekeeping and to Conor for marshalling.
Saturday
On Saturday we had a few club members, Stephen Hogan, Rob Dalton, Roger Spain, Michael Crowe, Ger Ryan and Liam Chadwick headed done to Killarney to take part in the Ring of Kerry. It was a very good spin by all accounts and they all enjoyed the day, The weather was not the best in parts but that did not stop the guys from enjoying a very good and well organised sportive, kudos and a very well done to ye all.

Folks, Jan still has a few of the ordered bags left to be collected so please arrange with her on 087 1374354 to collect as soon as you can.
