Club Notes / This weeks spins

Hi Folks, We hope you all had a great week.

Thursday evening our turbo training sessions concluded for the winter season. We want to say a big thanks to everyone who turned up for these sessions and we hope you got the benefits of the winter indoor base miles. Thanks go to DJ Rob for running these classes for us during the winter…

All together Spin

On Sunday we were blessed with beautiful sunshine for our Season opening “All Together Spin” and we had a great turnout, so a huge thanks go out to everyone for turning up on a such a lovely morning! Everyone had a great spin and were rewarded with some lovely freshly baked warm scones when they got to the Lakeside hotel in Ballina. On the way back one member suffered a puncture but was swiftly repaired when a few of the group stopped up to help and they soon rejoined the rest of the group who had stopped up to wait for them at the four sisters. From there the group cycled back to Nenagh. We would like to thank the Lakeside Hotel for their usual fantastic hospitality and also to Jan and Conor for giving up their morning to marshal and keep everyone safe, also thanks to Selina for the few pictures of the morning. Thanks very much indeed!

Visit Nenagh Classic 2017 Launch

As we hope you are all aware by now, NTW is officially the new club behind the Gas Networks Ireland Visit Nenagh Classic since we welcomed back the race director Rene Van Dam into our club this year. This year is the 6th edition of the race, the longest and toughest one day road race in the country and is also proudly part of the National Road Race Series and the Munster championship Team Time Trial. We hope you all realise how big this race is and how big a deal being the organising club of such a prestigious event as this is! We are so proud that our humble little club is now promoting this event. Friday night last the Gas Networks Ireland Visit Nenagh Classic was officially launched in the Great National Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh. This year the event will be televised and will be broadcast on our screens when the National Road Series concludes… A huge effort was made by our members to promote this event on the night so very well done to everyone involved making it was a great success. Below are a small collection of photographs of the launch thanks to club member Selina Hynes.

Also the family fun cycle is a very popular part of that weekend and takes place on Sunday morning, April 2nd starting on Pearse street at 11am sharp and it does a 8km loop of the Borrisokane bypass and back in to the town. We would love your help on the day with this and thanks to the members who have already put their names forward… it’ll be a fun, friendly, enjoyable morning on the bikes so spread the word to your family and friends, everyone is welcome to join in. If any more members can help on the day please contact Selina on 0879177355 or contact us on northtippwheelers@gmail.com or on our FB page. Keep the date in the diaries… Thanks all.
