Club Notes/ This weeks spins
The notes are very short and sweet this week!
The week got off to a great start on Tuesday night with the introduction of our new club turbo training sessions which will be run over a 15 week period. It is a great way to keep up your winter training especially now it is dark earlier in the evenings and also if the weather is less than favourable outside. These sessions are held on a Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm. The club has invested in three spare turbo trainers and you would be very welcome to give the class a go.
Wednesday evening there were five intermediate cyclists out on the road where they covered a distance of 40km, they went to Moneygall and back sticking to the safety of the main roads at this time of the year.
Thursday we had the second club Turbo training night again and its proving very popular. Everyone is welcome to join in, all you need is a turbo trainer and off you go. The club has three spare turbo trainers if you would like to give it a try.
Saturday a few of the race group covered a distance of 100km where they took on an extended VNC A4 route. The weather was good for the spin and some good base miles were put in.
Sunday There was no club spin this week as the weather was very unkind to us, so a few members did a turbo session instead in stereame.
Club Kit
The winter club kit is now in stock for anyone who ordered gear and we also have some stock of new kit for anybody who wants it.
Awards Dinner
FINAL REMINDER
Our awards night is drawing close now and it will be held in the Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon, this Saturday night and the dinner starts at 7pm. Remember, everyone is welcome to join us on the night so do bring your family and friends along for a fun filled evening. We need final numbers please by Tuesday 10th of November as the restaurant will want to know how many people to cater for which is only fair. All prize winners are expected to attend on the evening to be presented with their trophies and be recognised for the super efforts they put in to the club races over the season. Please contact Jan ASAP on 087 1374354 to confirm your attendance… Thanks everyone!
