On Sunday, North Tipperary Wheeler’s Junior Racer Ross O’Meara (pictured) took part in the first session of the Munster Youth Academy in Kanturk.  Ross, and the group of riders from clubs across Munster participated in a 77km spin with some hills and sprints.  This was followed by a talk from Dan Curtin from O’Leary Stone Kanturk, on plans for the season ahead. The next session will be on the track in February. Well done to Ross for taking part in this event.

Elsewhere, 10 members of club racing and leisure groups were on the road this weekend.   Both groups cycled together using the old N7 cycle lane to Daly’s Cross before returning to Nenagh via a number of different routes which suited the various abilities and training objectives.  Whilst the leisure group returned to Nenagh via Ballina and Portroe, the racing group continued to Castleconnell before crossing the Shannon at O’Briensbridge and retuning via Killaloe and the old N7.

Don’t forget that the annual prize giving and Christmas dinner will be held on Saturday 14th December in the Thatched Cottage at 6pm.  Members are asked to contact Jan White to confirm their attendance on 087 1374354 or janwhite@599gmail.com if not already done so.
