Club Notes / Next weeks spins

We hope you all had a good week and despite the poor weather got out on your bikes.

Thursday evening we had the last road race in our series, with just the championship races left to be contested this season. We had a nice evening for what was a tough route taking in plenty of climbing up to the Silvermines and then on to the finish at Ormond Stile from Dolla. There was a huge effort put in by everyone on the night and congratulations go to Dan Hogan for taking the win and Pat Bergin and Liam Callaghan for taking second and third respectively. You can read the full race report here.

On Sunday morning, despite the very bad weather, we had a good turnout for the spin. This week our intermediates were showing fine form by choosing to alter the return leg of the route and came back by the rolling hills of Ballinderry and Puckane covering 82 tough kilometres! Fair play to you all!! 🙂

Elsewhere we had a couple of members travel to Birr to take part in the Wolftrap CC Billy Butler Cycle.
