Club Notes / Next week’s spins
Well we’ve another week of the evenings getting shorter gone by and it was a fairly quiet one for the club. This week’s notes will be short and sweet due to your (very dedicated, or there’d be no notes! 😉 ) P.R.O.s being off exploring new cycle routes along the very fantastic Wild Atlantic Way. It is a truly beautiful part of the country and I’d recommend you bring your bike to this side of the country whenever you get the chance!
Meanwhile back home, a few of the lads are after dusting off the mountain bikes, and oiling up the chains after they being left idle for the summer racing season and it’s great to have a few weeks now for us all to get the chance to relax for a bit before the training goes back into full swing for next season.
This weekend we had a good split with a few of the lads choosing to go to Bike Park Ireland for a session on Sunday and despite the poor weather had a blast! Thankfully no injuries to report which is always good!! 🙂 We’ll be organising a couple of trips here in the next few months and will let everyone know in the weekly email.
We also had a good few who turned up for the Sunday club spin with the group splitting in two in Toomevara. The only thing of note really was the fact the weather turned really foul for the return journey and there was a unanimous decision to return to Nenagh from Borrisokane and not travel on to Ballinderry to prolong the agony…! 😉 Well done all!
New Club Polo Shirt
On the request of a few members, we’ve designed a club polo shirt for anyone who might want to get one. They are great for wearing after a cycling event, or anywhere else for that matter. We decided not to get the normal style cotton polo shirt with an embroidered logo and have gone with a quite nice “coolmax” material sporty style shirt with the new club logo printed rather than embroidered for just €25 each. If you would like to order one of these please contact Jan 087 1374354 or Owen 087 0523275 or send a mail to northtippwheelers@gmail.com by next Sunday 27th Sept. We’ll be ordering on the Monday so don’t be late letting us know!!
