Club notes

It was a bitterly cold and wintry start to the weekend. Snow showers, Hail showers, and Ice. Not ideal weather for cycling. This is the view that some us were greeted with early on Saturday morning so due to the dangerous icy conditions the Saturday spin was called off. It was a day that the indoor Turbo trainers were brought into action. weekend spins sat 17thOn Sunday morning the weather was much the same as it was on Saturday but six very hardy souls braved the frosty morning. The group decided that due to the conditions this weeks planned route was changed and they stuck to the treated main roads. The group cycled from Nenagh out to Birdhill where some opted to have a warming coffee at the AppleGreen service station. Some others opted to ride on to Finnegan’s near Limerick and get some extra miles in the legs. The group rejoined again at Birdhill and they all cycled home together. Well done to everyone who braved the elements.
