Club Notes

Apologies for lack of notes last week – holidays are over and the real world is taking its toll on me!!
Last Sunday we had our third and final championship race. It was a super race and a strong performance put in by all! With a mechanical, a dropped bottle and a fair few dodgy excuses the race was an eventful one! It was great to see Daniel and Patrick Yon Hin come out but despite Daniel’s great win he isn’t a club member so the race win on the day was therefore given to Edvins, second place was Eva and a close third to Liam! Great effort by all and apologies to anyone suffering from damaged egos!!
This week saw a good group out on Tuesday night taking in plenty of hills and on the Utah night enjoying a flatter faster route! The evenings are getting shorter but hopefully we can continue these spins for a while longer!
The last of the limerick leagues were held this week and I hope I’m allowed to congratulate myself on coming first female and first unplaced A4/LC! Despite COVID cancelling a lot of races it was nice to get this win! Thanks to Limerick CC for the league and managing it so well during the uncertain times!
This weekend saw a good group completing just about every hill around finishing up just shy of 100km, getting chased by 2 dogs and a bullock!!! Eventful to say the least! Edvins and Eva also went to Kilmallock and took part in their open race – neither were successful in placing but great to have some racing!
With regards to gear – there were only a few members who wished to purchase gear therefore we won’t be having a bulk order or fitting. If anyone has any questions regarding the gear please contact Eoin Ryan.
