Club Notes
It was a bitterly cold start to the weekend spins on Saturday morning and conditions were not the best for cycling but a few hardy souls bravely ventured out regardless and took part in the KBS Toy Appeal charity cycle which departed from Dromineer. They enjoyed a warming cup of coffee before setting out, and 25 people braved the conditions for this spin on the morning which everyone enjoyed completing.
On Sunday morning the numbers were fairly depleted having had the club Christmas party the night before which took its toll on some… 😉 There were five dedicated people who turned up on the morning and completed the proposed route, so fair play guys and gal!!
We enjoyed a great night for our annual Christmas Dinner and prize-giving on Saturday evening and we have to thank the Thatched Cottage, Ballycommon for a fabulous meal and kind hospitality as usual. There certainly was nobody hungry afterwards! It was great that so many members made it out on the night and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
We also had our prize-giving on the evening and the main results are as follows, with the prizes being presented by Selina Hynes:
-
Club Championship hill climb – Benny Delaney (Absent)
Other prize winners:
Paul Lenihan
Brian O’Neill
Gary Rowan
Donnchadh Floyd
Duncan Hodgins
John Foote
John O’Carroll
Kevin Byrne
Tommy Hanrahan
David Kyle
Congratulations all and thanks to everybody who competed in our events during the season. We look forward to next season already.
