All Together Cycle

Group before All Together Cycle

We couldn’t have picked a better day weather wise for the All Together Cycle (not a cloud in the sky as you can see from the picture above) and this meant a great turnout and lots of happy faces on bikes. A group of almost 40 cyclists left Nenagh shortly after 9am and headed to Ballina via Birdhill, availing of the old N7 Cycle lanes en route. We stopped at the Lakeside in Ballina for coffee and scones and all had the chance to mingle, chat to old and new friends before returning to Nenagh along the same route. Thanks to all who turned up to support this spin, to Jan White for looking after signon and Mike Sheedy, our Motorcycle Marshal extraordinaire.

For any new members thinking of joining the club, the first year’s membership is free (usually €20), all you have to pay is the relevant Cycling Ireland Fee. Details on joining the club can be found here. A selection of pictures from the All Together Cycle are available on our Facebook Page

Don’t forget our club spins continue on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 9am.

Mountain Biking

The first mountain biking session of the season kicked off last Saturday with 5 members hitting the trails….some hit them harder than others with Aidan Kileen stealing everyone else’s thunder with his wipe-out effort! These sessions will continue over the winter months and members will be notified in advance via text.
