Club notes

Saturday morning was a cold one but the roads were good and a small racing group cycled towards Birdhill and did the Broadford route with some racing intervals, they covered over 95km on the 3.20hr spin.

Sunday morning was a non runner with frozen snow on the roads so there was no official club spin.

We held the second of the North Tipp Wheelers Club Membership Nights in Moynans Bike Shop, Nenagh on Monday 26th of January. We were helping existing and new members to register with Cycling Ireland and Membership of our Club. So to our new members ye are very welcome to the club. We would like to say a big thanks to Peter and David Moynan for the use of their premises for the evening.  Thanks also to all the club members who helped make the evening a big success.

We also had a Turbo Hill Climb Challenge with the Yellow Jersey sponsored by Peter and David Moynan going to Mal Dorris ( Lough Derg Chocolates )

We had the pleasure of the company of Eugene Lynch from Giant bikes who took the time out to attend our membership night and give us a talk on the new range of Giant Bikes.

The first of our 6 evening spinning Sessions was held last Friday in BustersBootCamp above Moynans bike shop and lots of sweat and guts were spilt so it was a great session indeed. Looking forward to next week already. If you want to join in just call down at 7:00pm next Friday.

Another reminder of the upcoming Quiz night that will be held in the Dapp Inn, Nenagh on Friday night the 27th of February starting at 9pm.

A fun night out guaranteed. A table of four is 20 euro and we would ask our members to bring along spot prizes for the night.  So start getting your general knowledge training started and the thinking caps on. Please try and support your club on the night. You’ll have a great time. Everyone is welcome. Bring as many friends and family as you like.
