RACING UPDATE
On Sunday 6 members of the Wheelers started their racing
season by competing in the Ned Flanagan Charity road race in Monasterevin. All
were showing great form over the 70km course but with just 5km to go a high
speed crash put paid to the chances of Paddy Rohan, Pat Bergin, Liam Callaghan
and Tommy Hanrahan along with many other local riders representing the DMG
Visit Nenagh team. Brian O’Neill’s race ended with a puncture just prior to the
carnage leaving Eoin Woolley the only club finisher who rode strongly and was
lucky to have avoided the crash. Well done to all who took part and we wish all
those who were injured a speedy recovery, especially Con Kennedy of Nenagh
Triathlon (representing Team DMG Visit Nenagh) who broke his collarbone.
